Saw this on Alan's campaign site: "Governor Mike Easley named Alan to the Court of Appeals in January 2004, to fill the seat of the retiring Chief Judge. As a judge, he seeks to apply the law impartially and brings hard work, reasoned judgment, and common sense to North Carolina’s highest court."I thought the Supreme Court was North Carolina's highest court. I still offer my congratulations.

Thanks, Winston. SOmetimes you can read something 400 times and miss something big like that. I appreciate the notice.

The typo has been fixed. Obviously, the COurt of Appeals is NC's SECOND highest court.
